The band will then take you on a journey throughout her career and across genres to deliver exciting live versions of her phenomenal hits, as well as lesser known epic album tracks. Complete with authentic costumes and choreography, lead singer Kate Smith conveys a captivating rendition of this highly original and unique artist.

Brief Encounter-inspired Fantasist-housewife Celia (“A pitch-perfect impersonation” - OBSERVER) and friends take their Cosmic Shambles Network Podcast on the road with their wife-based gang show. From the history of wifery, to the wiles and wherefores of when to wife; a dozen wives, (ex-wives, future wives, non wives and anti-wives) wait in the wings at a village hall near you, ready to share their startling stories, while bickering and drinking wine out of a teapot.

Returning to the live stage, Fay teams up once again with Sam Sweeney and Rob Harbron to tour her new album, Wrackline. Shifting between lighthearted stories about drunks sitting with pigs, to darker questions about infanticide, Fay breaths life and meaning into old stories presenting them with a fresh twist and consummate musicianship from Sweeney and Harbron including fiddle, concertina, guitar and banjo.  Expect to be enveloped in music, woven through magical stories and teased into thinking about your relationship with the world around you.

UNSA are bringing their award-winning mobile HQ, THE SPACE SHED, to Farsley!

They'll be performing their outdoor show, How I Hacked My Way Into Space at the car park of St John's Church. PLUS - we'll be getting the pizza oven going, and there'll be a bar courtesy of The Constitutional.

The show is the hilarious and moving story of how UNSA’s Director of Human Spaceflight Jon Spooner hacked his way into space. “Ever since I was 7 years old and watched NASA launch its first Space Shuttle mission and I saw how beautiful the Earth looked from all the way above it, up there looking down… since then, it has been my dream to go there too.”

The Farsley Murders - Book Launch

After over a decade of research, The Farsley Murders is released at this event with a talk by the author Richard M. Jones on the night two families were devastated by a double murder that led to a manhunt across the north of England. 48 hours later it was all over with the perpetrator arrested. Now for the first time the story can be told at The Constitutional, where signed copies of the books can be purchased.

An Evening With Don Letts

Don Letts – filmmaker, musician, DJ, broadcaster, social commentator, husband and father – has always defied conformity. A British-born son of Windrush parents, he seamlessly pivoted between London’s punk and reggae scenes, earning his reputation as the ‘Rebel Dread’.

In "There and Black Again" (published by Omnibus Press) Don looks back on an exceptional life, and tells tales of him befriending Bob Marley after sneaking into his hotel, joining The Clash’s White Riot tour as manager of The Slits, and becoming one of the UK’s most highly regarded video directors during the MTV boom.

With reflections on Black Lives Matter and the highs and lows of personal relationships, "There and Black Again" includes moments of civil unrest, live music, humour and political struggle.

MELTING POT kicks off with an all-star soul jazz band SOUL COOKER, featuring musicians from The Haggis Horns and The New Mastersounds. Expect a heavy hitting soul jazz group influenced by the classic US organ jazz combos of the 1960s who recorded for Blue Note Records and Prestige Records.

Legendary Leeds jazz/soul/funk/world music DJ/promotion crew The DIG Family pretty much ran things up north from 1985 to 2002. Their 1990s club nights (Yardbird Suite/The Cooker/Casa Latina) at the Underground Club were EPIC. Almost 20 years after the crew split, original members Gip Dammone and Lubi Jovanovic reunite to present a monthly session of live music, good food the finest recorded sounds past and present.

PLUS Gip's award winning Leeds Italian Restaurant - Salvo's in Headingley - will be running a pop-up kitchen at each session.

MICKY P KERR BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT FINALIST!! Leeds-based comedian and social commentator Micky P Kerr is a breath of fresh air on the comedy circuit. Already a familiar face in live music, Micky turned his hand to stand-up comedy in 2013 and is rapidly becoming one to watch, proving to be a massive hit with audiences and bookers alike. As well as a spectular run on Britain's Got Talent, he has also reached the semi-finals of both the So You Think You’re Funny and the BBC New Act competitions. KAREN BAYLEY Karen has been a fixture on the comedy circuit for over a decade. She made a name for herself early on in her career reaching the semi-final of the prestigious BBC New Comedy Awards and was later crowned the winner of the 2001 Komedia New Act prize. She followed this by becoming the first ever female winner of the prestigious Comedy Store King Gong award as well as reaching the finals of both the BBC New Comedy Awards Showcase and Babycham Funny Women. JONATHAN MAYOR "Marvellously wicked!" - MICHAEL PALIN Jonathan Mayor is a huge cult figure in comedy. When Jonathan arrives on stage, with his savage and truly hilarious wit, its showtime! He is one of the most requested MCs by many venues – including as resident compere at Manchester’s Frog and Bucket, where the list has included Johnny Vegas, Peter Kay, Dave Spikey and Steve Coogan. It also explains the huge variety of work he is asked to do across the country, including burlesque shows, cabaret nights, Pride festivals, biker festivals, corporate occasions, street theatre, gourmet nights at some of Manchester’s top restaurants, balls, weddings, civil partnerships, birthday parties and poetry nights. Presenting experience includes The North West Comedy Awards 2006 alongside Bradley Walsh and in 2007 alongside Dave Spikey. He was Sarah Millican’s go-to host and support act, MC’ing her new material nights Sarah Millican and Friends and performing as warm-up man for her television series The Sarah Millican Television Show. SUSAN MURRAY “A feisty comedy fireball of fun” - TIME OUT Winner of the first ever Jongleurs competition and a seasoned regular on the circuit, Susan has emerged as one of the best female stand-ups around. Acting credits include starring in the TV comedy drama “Love, Lies and Lipstick” for Carlton and "Arthur Smith sings Leonard Cohen" (Pleasance, Edinburgh Festival and Garrick London). Following writing and performing for BBC Radio 1 on the Milk Run she received a writing bursary from the BBC. She was one of the main writers on "Touch Me I'm Karen Taylor" (Avalon for BBC3) and has been touring the UK with "Puppetry Of The Penis". She is currently writing for Laura Solon's "Talking And Not Talking" and "It's That Jo Caufield" (both BBC Radio 4).
