SOPHIE WILLAN

With a razor sharp and totally authentic comic voice, Sophie Willan exudes confidence and charm.

In 2015 her refreshing comic style took her to several competition finals including the Magners New Comedian of the Year, where she was crowned the winner. The following year she took her debut stand up show On Record, based on her experiences of growing up in and out of the care system, to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. A total sell out run and phenomenal critical acclaim followed, with a smash hit nationwide tour in 2017 and a commission to adapt the show into a BBC Radio 4 series.

Sophie’s second show Branded was one of the big hits of 2017, achieving another total sell out run at the Fringe, a Herald Angel Award and a nomination for Best Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2017.

Sophie’s BBC Radio 4 Series, Sophie Willan’s Guide To Normality has been commissioned for a second series due to air July 2019. She is also the Voiceover for The Circle (Channel 4) and has appeared on the likes of As Yet Untitled (Dave), The Last Leg Correspondents (Channel 4), Live At The Comedy Store (Comedy Central), Up Late With Rylan (Channel 5), Still Open All Hours (BBC One), Click And Collect (BBC One), Class Dismissed (BBC One), and The One Show (BBC One).

DUNCAN OAKLEY

Duncan Oakley has musical skills that would easily fit into many rock bands and performs an infectious mix of musical comedy and stand up that has seen him become one of the leading comedians in the business.

With an eye and ear for the silly, rude, playful and downright irritating occurrences of life Duncan musters up songs that not only make you laugh, they bury into the recesses of your mind and find you a humming tune with a smile on your face three days later, confused and wondering where it’s come from.

Duncan has performed for nearly 10 years on the UK and international stand up circuit and an easy confidence and good natured banter make him a regular at all the best venues. Lesser musical comedians hide behind their guitars and use them as a shield but his is definitely a sword as audiences who have been slain with laughter will gladly testify!

“Unlike some musical comics who rely on a guitar to get them through, Oakley’s routine deftly mixes the tunes with the stand-up” CITY LIFE

“Pure brilliance” YORKSHIRE EVENING POST

EVELYN MOK

Dubbed “The Swedish Amy Schumer” by Comedy Central Nordics, Evelyn Mok is the best thing to come out of Sweden since… IKEA? Born and raised in Sweden, to a Hong Kong-nese father and a Chinese-Indian mother, Evelyn is a spectacular cultural blend, add in being plus sized and an American accent whilst living in London, her cup definitely overfloweth with identity; cue a career in comedy.

On moving to London, she was quickly selected for the prestigious Pleasance Comedy Reserve, named One to Watch by Time Out Comedy and placed on the BBC New Talent Hot List. She has also claimed finalist positions in then Chortle Student Comedy Awards  and Leicester Square Theatre’s  New Comedian of the Year Award.

She went on to open for Paul Foot and Josie Long on their European tours and made her mark at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, with her  “powerful debut” (Chortle)  HYMEN MANOUVRE, “a refreshing hour of finely crafted stand-up” (★★★★ The Skinny). This won her ‘Best Comedy Newcomer’ at The Pleasance’s Indies Awards and garnered favourable mentions by Sarah Millican and Graham Norton.
